Abstract
The condemnation of contraception by Pope Paul VI as intrinsice inhonestum does not amount to saying that it is gravely wrong per se. And yet, because the use of condoms is immoral as such, albeit venially, the Church cannot countenance their use even for a good purpose as in the prevention of AIDS.
