Abstract

Abstract A graph G = (V, E) consists of a non-empty finite set V of elements, called vertices, and a set E of pairs of distinct elements of V, called edges. Any graph can be represented as a diagram, with vertices represented by points and edges represented by lines joining the corresponding pairs of points. The following diagram depicts a graph with seven vertices and nine edges.
