Abstract
STOL (Spacecraft Test and Operations Language) is a scripting language that was originally developed by NASA as a means to automate spacecraft operations or test procedures. Several variations of STOL are now in existence because commercial operators and product providers have adapted the definition for their own needs and the original standard has evolved. When you consider that a typical spacecraft can have thousands of procedures it is easy to see that quality, consistency and management issues can arise
