Abstract

In this paper, analysis of a graphene-based microstrip-fed hexagonal shape dual-band antenna is presented. This antenna consists of a hexagonal shape radiation patch and a microstrip feed line with a plus shape slot in the hexagonal patch. The antenna operates with acceptable radiation characteristics in which the returns loss is less than -10 dB at the 2.14 THz and 5.41 THz frequencies. The gains of the proposed antenna at the mentioned frequencies are equal to 4.71 dB and 5.61 dB, respectively and the bandwidth of this antenna is 658 GHz (%10.97) and 1.023 THz (%17.05). In this work, the CST MICROWAVE STUDIO has been used to simulate this graphene-based hexagonal patch antenna.
