Abstract

Abstract Herein, a dynamically tunable absorber based on a guided mode resonance effect is proposed. The device uses the guided mode resonance principle to obtain a narrow bandpass filter and the output light intensity can be adjusted by applying a voltage to the graphene layer. The device simultaneously offers two channels of light in the horizontal and vertical directions separately. To avoid interference of incident and reflected light, the reflected light of the device is designed to emit from the side of the structure thereby effectively improving the detection accuracy. The device indicates a promising application in electromagnetic stealth, biometrics, and photovoltaic devices.
