Abstract

The development of extensive sarcoid-like granulomas of glabrous skin as a result of allergic hypersensitivity to insoluble zirconium oxide is described and the subject discussed. In this case report, the lesions followed the use of a zirconium-containing topical preparation for the treatment of poison ivy dermatitis.
