Grantmakers make gains on racial diversity, but stall on gender, age and disability

Abstract

Just as nonprofit charitable organizations are struggling to improve the diversity of their staff, so too are the nation's grantmakers. According to the Council on Foundation's 2022 Grantmaker Salary and Benefits Report, the percentage of U.S. foundations’ full‐time staff that are people of color increased slightly over the last year, but their diversity in terms of age, gender and disability remained static.
