Abstract

This article explores the implications of the U.S. Supreme Court's 1987decision in California Coastal Commission v. Granite Rock Company. It explores how much opportunity the states now have to influence land uses on federal lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.
