Abstract

While grand multiparity (GM) is historically associated with adverse outcomes, evidence is inconsistent to suggest GM is a high-risk group, which may increase cost burden to families and the healthcare system. Large populations of grand multiparas have not been studied in the United States. We sought to determine if increasing parity in GM is associated with adverse maternal, neonatal and obstetric outcomes.
