Abstract
The determination of the influence of the reaction conditions on chemical modification yielding of polypropylene by a polar monomer (p-phenylen-bis maleamic acid) in melt by using a Box–Wilson experimental design is the main goal of this article. The following 4 independent variables were considered to be mainly affecting the process, initial concentration of reactants (polar monomer and peroxide), gear rate, and reaction time in a batch reactor. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
