Abstract

The September 2020 issue featured commentary from Dr. Guillermo Prado, Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Miami. He suggested the GMAT and GRE should be dropped as a graduate admission requirement to improve program and campus diversity. Dr. Prado ushered in a new season at the University of Miami this past fall without standardized tests in graduate programs after extensive planning. I extend his commentary and offer a “whole person approach” to admissions.
