Abstract

Extraversion correlated —.15 with both grades and class attendance of 216 introductory psychology students. These findings were hypothesized and are congruent with Eysenck's theory of personality. Otis scores also correlated — .23 with extraversion. This correlation contrasts with no relationship between intelligence and extraversion usually reported. The discrepancy seems related to the type of intelligence test employed.
