Abstract

The emergence of ChatGPT marks another major technological leap forward in the history of AI technology. Because a type of artificial intelligence that uses human language as a data set has arrived. Considering that language is the basis of human thought and communication, ChatGPT can be seen as opening a new step in the history of AI technology. In this article, I will analyze the characteristics and meaning of ChatGPT and figure out the differences from existing technologies. And, based on the thoughts of Hito Steyerl, who talks about artificial stupidity, and Vilem Flusser, who points out the limitations of programs, I try to think about whether AI will become an superintelligence from a different perspective. In addition, try to find out what attitude we must maintain in the humanities in the era of AI through a discussion by philosopher Marcus Gabriel, who develops neorealism and emphasizes human ‘free will’ and ‘self-awareness’.
