Abstract

The number of trainees recruited into general practice increased in 2015, Health Education England (HEE) has announced. GP recruitment opened for a third round in July this year.1 Normally two rounds of GP recruitment take place, but in 2014 and 2015 HEE opened a third round to boost uptake.2 HEE said that 180 doctors had been accepted into GP training through the third round of recruitment in 2015, more than triple the 47 in 2014.
