Abstract
A new species of Goniopholis (Order Crocodylia, Suborder Mesosuchia, Family Goniopholididae) is described as G. phuwiangensis on the basis of a dentary from the Sao Khua Formation at Phu Wiang, in north-eastern Thailand. It is closely related to forms from the Upper Jurassic of North America and Europe and the Lower Cretaceous of Europe, and suggests a Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous age for the Sao Khua Formation. The occurrence of Goniopholis in Thailand is indicative of Laurasian faunal affinities.
