Abstract
A gold-catalyzed β-site regioselective cycloisomerization of tryptamine derived enynamides is described. A variety of tetracyclic spiroindolines bearing 6/5/5/6-ring system were prepared. During the mechanistic studies, a vinyl gold complex was isolated successfully, which was further characterized by NMR spectrum and X-ray crystal analysis.
