Abstract
This has been quite the year for Susanne Tedrick. February saw the launch of her first book, Women of Color in Tech , as well as being when she was awarded IBM's Outstanding Technical Achievement Award. March brought a global pandemic, quarantining her and her husband in their apartment in New York City. In May, she was appointed to the steering committee of the nonprofit NPower. June included the recognition as a Women of Color STEM Conference Technology Rising Star. Then, by September, she returned to graduate school at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
