Abstract
AbstractWe are concerned with the derivation of goal‐oriented error estimates in the context of free material optimization. We will discuss the derivation of an error representation with respect to the cost functional of the optimization problem. Then we will use this representation in order to obtain a computable error estimator. The efficiency of the estimator is shown on a model problem in free material optimization.
