Abstract

A proportioned mix of quick-curing, soft-set acrylic resin was made and formed into an arch-shaped roll. The roll was positioned over the natural lower teeth of each subject (Fig. 1, A), and a “bite stick” (Fig. 1, B) was interposed between the upper and lower central incisors. This assured a uniform interocclusal separation for each registration. This was repeated for each of the four mandibular positions studied and the “bite stick” was kept in place with minimal pressure until the soft acrylic resin was fully set.
