Abstract

The General Medical Council has issued a statement clarifying that disabled trainees and medical students are not required to carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation if they are unable to do so.1 The regulator issued the statement after it was told by the Medical Schools Council that there are currently around 10 disabled students who are expected to graduate from medical school but who might have difficulties at later stages of their training.
