Abstract

Rationale: Hyperglycemia is a common phenomenon in the critically ill patient and has beendirectly related to its morbidity and mortality. However, glycemic variability ispostulated as a factor of poor prognosis of greater relevance than hyperglycemiaper se. The aim of this study is to evaluate glycemic variability in patients who require artificial nutritional support.
