Abstract

Theoretical predictions for glueball properties are reviewed. Large variations in the mass predictions of models are pointed out. One common prediction is that the lightest glueball is a scalar, and the consequences of the possibility that it lies below 1 GeV are explained. The anomalous production and decay properties of scalar and pseudoscalar glueballs due to the trace and axial anomalies are discussed. Various interesting possible glueball properties are scrutinized.
