Abstract

Abstract The role of dietary glucose on DMH‐induced colorectal cancer in rats was investigated. The addition of 1.6% glucose to the drinking water resulted in a significant increase in the number of DMH‐induced large bowel tumors in the rats, suggesting that a more detailed study should be made of the effect of glucose on the pathogenesis of human colorectal cancer.
