Abstract

Deeply articulated with the nation state, citizenship has acquired different connotations. This paper highlights how some of the major changes in our world such as globalization and the human rights regime affect the relationships between nation states and their citizens. It also show the extent these major global changes are actually affecting this most national of institutions. Key words: Globalization, citizenship, nation state, migration.
