Abstract

This paper seeks to establish the importance of education in Nigeria within the global framework. On this basis, an investment in building human capital to drive technological innovation and economic growth is imperative. In the case of Nigeria, gains of globalisation can be maximised by accepting aid from the World Bank and other development agencies, donor partners, and foreign private foundations, especially for post-graduate education in scientific and other highly technical fields.
