Abstract

This chapter explores global social and health policies and governance concerning people in a situation of forced migration. The first section provides a description of the rights to social protection and the right to health as provisions of global social policy. In the second part, the focus will be on a mapping of key actors in the field of health care for forced migrants. This will be followed by a review of key processes and ideas on how to strengthen social health protection of forced migrants. Finally, the conclusions highlight the key characteristics of this area of global social and health policy and governance.
