Abstract

In diffusion weighted echo planar imaging, eddy current distortion is a common reason for deformation of diffusion weighted imaging, which will affect the calculation result of diffusion tensors. A global ICC-based correction method is proposed for the eddy current distortion of the MRI weighted images, which combines the CSF-Mask-ICC registration with a global error correction. It can eliminate the influence of contrast differences at the cerebrospinal fluid area under high b-value. The registration accuracies between the adjacent slices are considered in order to obtain the global optimal registration parameters. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method can effectively improve the accuracy of the eddy current correction.
