Abstract

This paper investigates the finite time blow-up and global existence of the positive solution of the nonlinear degenerate parabolic system u t=f 1(u)( Δu+a 1v),v t=f 2(v)( Δv+a 2u), x∈Ω, t>0 with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary data. A necessary and sufficient condition for global existence of the solution is derived.
