Global Existence and Decay for Solutions to the “Bad” Boussinesq Equation in Two Space Dimensions

Abstract

We study the global existence of small solutions for the “bad” Boussinesq equation with potential V(x) verifying We show that the supremum norm of the small solution of this equation decays to zero as t tends to infinity and when the degree of the nonlinear term possesses an appropriate lower bound.
