Abstract

AbstractClimate change is at the heart of political and legislative debates, international treaty negotiations, religious discussion, and daily media stories. Climate‐change legislation did not pass in the US Congress, but the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued greenhouse gas (GHG) regulations under a 2007 US Supreme Court decision based on the Federal Clean Air Act. Thus, national GHG regulation is going forward in the United States, to the surprise of many who are not involved in environmental issues or regulated under the EPA program.
