Abstract

The global economy is getting better. The United States could experience its second-longest expansion since 1850 and many countries are creating jobs at a healthy pace. Significant healing has taken place, but there is more to be done. Topics that deserve better attention include the slowdown in productivity growth, income polarization, low inflation and low levels of wage growth, and the continuing need for global cooperation. The international community has a role to play by working together. We can safeguard the global economy and ensure strong, stable, and inclusive growth.
