Abstract

Existence and uniqueness of global classical solutions to the continuous coagulation equation with collisional breakage are investigated for collision kernels, growing indefinitely for large volumes, and a particular distribution function which gives the case of binary collisional breakage. The existence proof relies on the compactness method. Moreover, it is shown that the unique global classical solution is mass conserving.
