Abstract

Every year, million of roses are grown in parks, garden or pots, at the same time, billion pieces of cut roses are used for commercial aims. Keeping at the fore front of consumer preference hundreds of varieties of roses are in traduced to the market. It takes 4-6 years tore lease a new variety for a market in cut roses, while 8-10 years for landscape roses. Rose plants that can grow strongly and have large, hard and bright of the leaves are preferred in the breeding. Sufficient length hand thickness of flower stem, flowering a few times in a year, long-lasting of bloom, at least 30-35 pieces of number of petal are important traits in terms of market value. Multiply, scented, and different colors of flower and take a proper shape after fully opened are the most request features in a developed variety. In addition, a new variety must be resistant to biotic and abiotic stresses and some physiological disorders. Moreover, it must be proper for transportation, thorn less and yielding.
