Abstract

Glioblastoma multiforme is the most common adult malignant rain tumor. In most patients, a systemic lesion such as one in the ung in conjunction with a single brain lesion suggests metastatic isease to the central nervous system(CNS) since lungcancers comonly yield metastasis to the brain [1]. Even primary brain tumors uchasGBMcanyieldmetastasis to the lung [2], although this is less ommon. In fact, patients with a known primary malignancy and a NS lesion less than 3 cm are considered for empirical radiosurgial treatment of the cranial lesion [3–5], with an assumption that he brain lesion represents metastatic disease. In this manuscript, e discuss a case of a patient presenting with a single large brain esion and a lung lesion where the pathology of the brain lesion on urgical resectionwas GBM and the pathology of the lung lesion on iopsy was SCLC.
