Abstract

The repertoire offered by Lilia Khelifi on the Phoenician and Punic ivory athyrmata found in the necropolises of Carthage represents a panorama of artistic craftsmanship and a useful tool for identifying and studying the magical-religious beliefs present in the religiosity and superstition of the African metropolis, whose reflections are widely attested in the Punic world of the central Mediterranean.
