Abstract
The Glauber theory is consistently extended to an indirect process. Transition matrix of the electron transfer from the ground state of the target to the excited states as well as the ground state of the scattered system is formulated. The present formalism has no post-prior discrepancy, as in the usual Born approximation, for symmetric resonant processes. On the other hand it can be extended for charge transfer process between heavy ions.
