Abstract
AbstractA series of poly(itaconate ester)s containing methyl‐terminated poly(ethylene oxide) side chains with lengths ranging from 1 to 5 ethylene oxide units has been synthesized. Both heat capacity Cp and dynamic mechanical measurements have been carried out on these polymers using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and torsional braid analysis (TBA), respectively. The resulting data for this polymer series are discussed, and comparisons are made with work previously published for the corresponding di‐n‐alkyl itaconate ester polymers where appropriate.
