Abstract
Glare of headlights causes many troubles in night traffic. To prevent this, we may need to find a new rating method of glare. Quality of the visibility required in driving must be considered in this method.We developed a method using luminance on patterns as a measure of glare, this must be useful for improvement of lighting systems. Using this method, we measured and analysed the glare of conventional lights. And we got the experimental expression to estimate the disability glare (DAGI).
