Dr. Amy Sue Bix, associate professor at Iowa State University's (ISU's) History Department, wrote what has been called most comprehensive and thorough book on the history of women coming into technology ever, with her book Girls Coming to Tech!: A History of American Engineering Education for Women. Officially a historian, Bix specializes in the history of technology and women's history, and this book is at the place where they intersect. It not only tells women's stories but connects them with social implications that women have had to endure.
