Abstract
Introduction: Intracranial dermoid cysts and teratomas are rare lesions. They comprise 0.04–0.25% of all intracranial tumors and are most often found at the midline, posterior fossa, or at third ventricle. Clinical presentation varies depending on location, acting as a space occupying lesion. We describe a case of a mature cystic teratoma presenting following a spontaneous rupture. The aetiopathogenesis and management is discussed.
