Abstract

Abstract Most intracranial enchondromas are located in the skull base. Intracranial enchondromas over convexity are very rare benign extra-axial tumors that tend to present with protracted symptomatology and as large dural-based space-occupying lesions. We report a large convexity enchondroma in a 23-year-old male who presented with 3 years of recurrent seizures. Surgical gross total removal resulted in a good outcome. This case report emphasizes the unusual location of enchondroma in the form of an extra-axial space-occupying lesion in the parietooccipital lobe and further adds to the literature on this pathological entity. Our objective is to report this rare case and review the pertinent literature, especially concerning presentation, pathology, and management.
