Abstract

Background: Giant cell hepatitis (GCH) is a rare histological condition in infants with neonatal cholestasis. Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is an acute red blood cell destruction antibody mediated, susceptible to steroid treatment. The combination of these conditions is rare and less responsive to immunosuppressive therapy, and frequently progresses to fatal liver disease.
