Abstract

Growing evidence suggests that circadian clock dysfunction may contribute to the pathology of osteoarthritis. In this issue, He etal. use invivo and human-derived osteoarthritis models to demonstrate the therapeutic potential of pharmacologically manipulating components of the cartilage circadian clock. In doing so, the authors provide an important proof-of-principle supporting circadian clock-targeted therapy as a treatment option for osteoarthritis. Comment on: https://doi.org/10.1111/febs.16601.
