Abstract

When Lonny Allen, M.Ed., Vice President of Athletics at Tiffin University, brought in the emerging sport of women's wrestling and what he hopes will soon become the emerging sport of stunt, along with other men's and women's sports for a total of six new varsity teams, it meant much more to him than just checking the boxes for Title IX compliance. “This gives me a chance to have a role in giving women in sport more opportunities. We hope that we can hire more female coaches and bring more female student‐athletes to campus,” he said. And as the father of three daughters, he said he has even more reason to be a champion for women's sports.
