The objective of the study presented was to address the verification of the measures and deliberations that the Amazon Cooperation Treaty and the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization had regarding the management of the Amazon river basins. The methodology used to discuss the ideas was the study of journal articles, master's dissertations, analysis of the text of the treaty itself and the deliberations made by the organization. In addition, a previous study of the topic was carried out during the elaboration of ideas so that the topic discussed could be addressed with greater clarity and correctness. For the analysis to be sufficient, we will address a historical conception with respect to the agglutination of environmental law becoming a fundamental human right. After this analysis, the functioning of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty (ACT) and its fundamental principles will be explained. Regarding the point of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), we will describe its institution and the attributions it has in relation to the organization. Having gone through this historical context, we will analyze what the ACT says about the management of its hydrography and observe the discussions that ACTO had in its annual meetings, in addition to its project on the hydrographic protection of the Amazon basin. The objective of this study was to make the discussion of this topic more accessible in society, as there are few information sheets.
