Abstract
The importance of implementing the ABC method in storage management, presented in this article, is the improvement of stock control in institutions, addressing the importance of items in stock and showing those that have a demand or request in greater quantity. The objective of this study is to evaluate inventory management and its procedures, as well as describe the use of the ABC curve for effective management. A literature review was used as a methodology, so that information based on ideas from various authors can be taken in order to clarify and respond to certain issues addressed. As for the nature of the research, it was developed based on quantitative and qualitative parameters, through data collected from articles and books. It is concluded that the ABC curve is one of the methods that promote and favor inventory management, the classification of items that belong to its class, identifying, in detail, its need for control.
