Abstract
"Abstract: This paper describes an experiment in which students in Gestalt psychotherapy training, who are also studying for a research degree, go on a visit to Thte Modem as an experience of qualitative research in action. Ideas about perception, and the parallels between contemporary art and Gestalt therapy, are considered. These ideas, together with reactions to the experiment, were then discussed in a subsequent focus group, and some of the findings from that are summarised.
