Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to establish an agenda for gerontological nursing education in the coming century based on the analysis of current and future trends. Several variables including demographics and health care reform are considered. An increased focus on preparing primary care and long-term care practitioners by gerontological nursing educators is predicted.
