Abstract
The RUNX1 transcription factor decreases GATA3 and IL-4 expression and promotes T regulatory (Treg) cell development and function in vitro. We hypothesized that patients with germline RUNX1 deficiency would exhibit increased Th2 skewing and/or decreased Tregs and as a result exhibit a greater propensity to develop allergic and/or autoimmune disease.
