INTRODUCTION

We conducted a research on church buildings of German origin in Romania and in the places of origin of the German immigrants connected to the church reformation, which celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2017 This included the turn of Saxons to evangelic and the bringing of Danube Swabians in the course of the Counter Reformation of the Habsburgs under Maria Theresia. Scientific literature comes from Romanian, German and Hungarian space, and from Italy, connected to both conception and conservation of this heritage.
